I would like to introduce myself to all families, staff and children at Annie Dennis Children’s Centre. I have taken on the role of President of the Centre after being Vice-President for the last two years; and prior to that a General Member of the Committee of Management. I have two children at Annie Dennis and I am looking forward to leading the Committee in 2012.
It is going to be a historic year for children services across Australia with the introduction of the National Quality Standards, and both staff and the Committee will be active in implementing all that is required.
I encourage any parent or guardian that is interested in being involved in the Committee for 2012 to speak to either myself, another Committee member, or Lara. Being on the Committee is a great way to be actively involved in the decision making that affects your child (or children), and getting to know other parents and guardians.
I look forward to working with you all in 2012.
