About Us
Annie Dennis is a community-based long day care centre and kindergarten. We offer long day care for children aged 6 months to 6 years, as well as 3-year-old and 4-year-old kindergarten.
- We are not-for-profit - managed by a
committee made up of parents and staff - We have staff to child ratios above the minimum regulated requirements - for example, in our baby room, we have 3 staff to 10 babies
- Our planning follows the interests of the children - we use an approach called ‘program flow’ which allows us to follow the interests as they change from day-to-day
- We actively seek input from parents, both informally and formally - through chats at the start/end of the day, staff-parent interviews and feedback forms
- We have a strong parent and staff community - fostered through our annual ‘welcome to the centre’ party, end of year market, working bee barbecues, film nights, wine tastings, family morning teas, a knitting group, East Timor friendship relationship and more.
Plus, we have a full-time centre manager whose friendly face is always around to help with any questions you may have.
