Knitting Group
The Annie Dennis (and others) Knitting Group meets on the 1st and 3rd Monday during the cooler months of the year. We knit, we chat, we drink and we eat cake. Experienced and novice knitters are welcome to join. We even accept crocheters (or “happy hookers” as we like to call them.)
Each year we invent a theme for a fundraising event for the Annie Dennis Children’s Centre’s friendship relationship with East Timor. Last year we knitted beautiful pure wool blankets which we raffled. This year we held our own mini Mid-Winter Scarf Festival. Next year? It could be a Beanie Festival or even knitted dinosaurs – who knows …
We advertise the time and venue on the front door of the Centre. New members are very welcome, particularly if they bring chocolate.
