Committee of Management Meeting Monday 30 August

Just a quick reminder to all parents that the monthly Committee of Management meeting will be held next Monday 30 August at 7.30pm.  

This is a great chance to have input into your community childcare centre.

General Meeting - COM - 7pm Monday 26 July 2010

Parents and guardians are invited to a General Meeting called by the Committee of Management for Monday 26 July 2010 at 7pm, to be held at the Centre. There will be one item on the agenda:

  •  A Special Resolution to amend our Constitution

The Committee of Management has agreed to propose a Special Resolution to amend the Annie Dennis Children’s Centre Constitution as follows:

  • Annie Dennis Children’s Centre will ask and get written consent from parents or guardians of children attending Annie Dennis Children’s Centre to become members of the Association. Other eligible persons must apply in writing to the Committee for membership.

The Associations Incorporation Act 1981 requires that a Special Resolution be put to the vote at a General Meeting to which all members of our Association (i.e. all parents and guardians) have been invited.

Our monthly meeting (for July) will be held directly following the General Meeting on the same evening, and all parents and guardians are welcome to attend. If you have any questions about the amendment or the meetings, please contact the Committee via the office.    

General Meeting - Committee of Management

Parents and guardians are invited to a General Meeting called by the Committee of Management for Tuesday 27 April 2010 at 7pm, to be held at the Centre. There will be one item on the agenda:

  •  A Special Resolution to amend our Constitution

 The Committee of Management has agreed to propose a Special Resolution to amend the Annie Dennis Children’s Centre Constitution as follows:

  •  Retiring Committee Members be eligible to be on the Committee of Management for four years instead of the current three years

The Associations Incorporation Act 1981 requires that a Special Resolution be put to the vote at a General Meeting to which all members of our Association (i.e. all parents and guardians) have been invited. Our monthly meeting (for April) will be held from 7.30pm on the same evening, and all parents and guardians are welcome to attend. If you have any questions about the amendment or the meetings, please contact the Committee via the office.

All parents and staff are welcome to come along to the final COM meeting for 2009.

The last meeting for the year is traditionally a hand-over from the 2009 committee to the new committee for 2010. So if you’d like to get up to speed on what lies ahead for the Centre, then this is your chance to do so.

This month’s meeting should be shorter than usual, and after the serious side is done with, we’ll be heading off to the pub for a quick drink to celebrate the end of the year.

The meeting starts at 7.30pm, upstairs at the Centre.

Joining up as a general member is an easy way to find out more about what happens at meetings, and whether there’s a particular subcommittee, position or project you might be interested in becoming more involved with.
